So go check out all the links, and we can’t wait to share today’s episode. All right. So Jennifer Finley, when I got to interview her, I had so many great questions, because she has impacted I share a little. About how, after I heard her story, we started implementing sending psychic messages between me and my daughter, and it has been such a cool process. Have to admit, my daughter’s way better at it than me, although this really opened my eyes, I guess, very literally, to what we have the ability and capacity to do. So the cool thing, the reason I wanted to interview Jennifer, Jenny specifically, was because I really love the way she combines what I’ll call like the woo or spiritual practices or intuition with the very functional other side of the brain, like the very business practical. She is very much an organized leadership style. You know, if we’re doing a presentation, she said, I, of course I have my notes. Of course I have my PowerPoint. It’s all laid out. So it’s a really cool combination to me, because I often see one or the other. I often see this very like, I’m very intuitive and psychic, and I’m, I’m go with the flow, and then on the business side of things, I can commonly see that left out, or it’s just this very specific, like, this is how you do business, and there’s just an algorithm, and it doesn’t matter about the universe. So I love that she brings it together. I will just read you her amazing bio, and then you will understand why and how she is able to bring this together. So she is a performance and leadership coach and co host of the Mind your business podcast, alongside her partner, James Wedmore, which, as you all know, is our mentor and someone we absolutely love to learn from, and now Jenny as well. So she is the growth team manager for Team Wedmore the head coach for James’s performance mastermind and program director for the indispensable Leadership Academy. Previous to joining Team, Wedmore, Jen spent 12 years applying her skills in people development at Lulu Lemon Athletica, an internal leadership coach and manager leading the performance of multi million dollar retail business and reliably delivered results in teamwork and leadership. Jenny is trained in multiple coaching methodologies, including Neuro Linguistic Programming, co active Training Institute, and currently studying at Robins Megan training. She holds two certifications in NLP, including one from the founder, Dr Richard Bandler. And she has 600 hour certification training in yogic philosophy, Asana, mindfulness and meditation. And is a former yoga teacher from Equinox. She was an introduction leader for the landmark forum in Australia, and is a Reiki Master apprenticing for many years with Master healers learning the art of intuition, energy healing and psychic ability. Since 2008 James has referred to her as team wed more Seeker weapon, and I totally believe that to be true, because I’ve seen her in action. So without further ado, let’s get right into this amazing interview. Hello everybody. Welcome back to the becoming zesty podcast. I have a very special guest here today. Jenny Finley is with me. Hi, Jenny.

Hi. How are you? Such a pleasure to be here!

I am doing fabulous. I am beyond excited about this conversation we’re about to have, and you all are going to find out why in a minute, it’s such a good topic. So a little back story to just orient you all to why we’re here today and what we’re doing is so I have now, I think I’ve heard you now speak three times on a live stage, Jenny and train. One was at a leadership specific training, and then other was at the next level. So part of the BBD program I’m in is the next level event. So Jenny will be speaking there. And what I love so much about you is that you really bring together two different worlds. So I said, Can we please talk about I want to talk about intuition, and I want to talk about all things Woo, but I also want to talk about leadership and how you bring that together. So that is what we’re going to do today.

Jenni Finley 9:08
My two favorite topics can’t wait, right?

Megan Blacksmith 9:12
Okay, so let’s just start, Jenny, if you can just share a little bit of background, if you want to start maybe with the intuition piece, and then also kind of background of leadership. But let’s start with the the intuition piece, yes, my background in intuition, yes, yeah. So like, how did you come to learning about this? Why do you care about it? That kind of thing, awesome.

Jenni Finley 9:34
Well, I was born an identical twin, and I have experienced in my lifetime that identical twins tend to lean into or explore intuition, because they, I mean, they’ve even studied identical twins for science of this ability to be telepathic with one another, or to share emotions or to share even physical sensations. I know a pair of twins that one of them blew his knee out and his brother felt the pain. In the same knee at the same moment. So there’s these phenomenon that happen with identical twins. So I like to say I came in with the home court of advantage for being intuitive. I was also born into a very intuitive family. My mother is clairvoyant. And we come from a line of Native Americans, that if you study Native American history, there’s actually my great, great, great grandfather is a fairly well known Native American known for his psychic ability. And I grew up in a family where it was extremely normal. My mom presented it as our family has a gift. We can communicate it within the family with messages, with mind messages, so I can send you a thought and then you’ll receive it. And it was quite normal as a child for my dad to just walk in having come home from work and say, I stopped at the store and I bought milk and bread, and my mom would say, Oh, good, you got my message. And this is before text messaging. So she she would just send us telepathic messages. And my grandmother was the same way. So I grew up in a home where it was celebrated, encouraged. I remember my first memory of being intuitive was when I was four. I lost something that was really important to me, and I asked my angels where it was and and I received a message in my left ear, and I went and I found it. And when my mom, who was helping me look for it, said, How did you find this? I said, Oh, I I asked my angels, and rather than going, you what, my mom said, Oh, very good. You’re talking to them. So it was very conditioned and encouraged. And then when I was in my 20s, my father had gotten ill, and no one could really pinpoint why he we knew it was something neurological happening. We knew it was not his cancer returning, but he was ill, and the doctors were perplexed. So I started exploring, what are the these alternative healing modalities? My mom went really into nutrition and alternative homeopaths, all of that natural medicine. And I met a Reiki Master, and when she explained to me what Reiki was, I was actually teaching fitness in Los Angeles, and she walked up to me, I did not know this woman. I saw her, and she looked like a living fairy to me. She just had this beautiful energy around her. She’s had this very long red hair down to her waist. She looked like a character out of Lord of the Rings in my world, and she walked up to me, and she hugged me, and she whispered in my ear, it’s not your fault that your father’s sick. And I just burst into tears because I hadn’t shared that at work. I was a fitness instructor. You didn’t bring that in to the gym. And I asked my boss, who is that? And he said, Oh, that’s my best friend, and she’s a Reiki Master, and she teaches Reiki. So I took my first Reiki course from her, and immediately started sensing auric fields, seeing spirit animals, amplifying my gifts, which to me, was always just within the family. And I realized, Oh, you can actually learned this like you can learn it like a skill, the same way that you learn the skill of teaching yoga, and there are practices and disciplines that you can apply and amplify your own intuitive capacity. So I just went to her and said, Can I please be your apprentice? And in exchange for giving her a Reiki healing every week. I would go to her house every Monday, and I would get give her a healing to the best of my ability, and then I would just ask her questions. And that went on for about four years. And then when I moved back to Texas, I just started calling in my other teachers. So after I left my apprenticeship, I met a very serendipitously through I saw flyer for a spoon bending workshop, which now I teach in at we did it at next level. But it was the apprentice of DOM Miguel Ruiz, whose name is Heather ash, and she’s a beautiful practitioner, and I saw her bending the prongs of a fork with one hand, one finger, in the middle of a room of all these people. And I was like, wow, I want to learn how to do that. And so she was a mentor for a bit. And then I then I discovered Richard Bandler, and got really, really into NLP. And I think when I learned NLP, that’s when I started to cross the worlds of like intuitive with how you can reprogram the mind and and I started playing around with how can you use neuro linguistic programming with meditation and yoga to support my students learning yoga or getting into a meditative state. I used to do embedded commands when I was doing my yoga cues, because I found. People responded to the cue better. I’m like, why are they not understanding this pose? And I would swap out a NLP tactic and um, just kept going down that path of like, how many books can I read? How many courses can I take? Who’s going to show up in my life as a teacher? And eventually, that led me to the shaman that James and I work with, Don Javier. And truly, for the last 20 years, it’s been my polite obsession to study intuition, and not only that, but the transference of energy and to my brain likes to make patterns and make things scientific because I think that allows it to be replicated. So I have created these like structures for my own self where I would try to learn, how can I keep this consistent, so that it’s not just like a Oh, you were born with it gift, and I found that there are things that you can teach to others to amplify their intuition. And that’s now kind of a little spin off offering that James and I do inside of his programs and and his sister’s programs is I come into Jill’s retreat to teach how to amplify your own intuitive abilities. And yoga was a huge path for me study. I’ve got 600 hours in yoga, meditation training, and all of it just kind of came together. So I have a patchwork quilt of spiritual practices and courses taken that have allowed me to apply it in all all different ways. That’s my long winded answer.

Megan Blacksmith 16:44
Oh, I love this. So many different places I want to go with that. So one, I just want to note, because I had listened to your story before, on the mind your business podcast about the how in your family, it was just normal, right? I think, did you say at seven it was like, Oh, now you have these gifts? Did I Yeah,

Jenni Finley 17:03
Well, it was, I mean, my mom was always encouraged. I think it was around 11, the moment that I remember them looking at each other and having a that my grandmother and my mother and my aunt having a moment of the twins have the gift was my great grandmother, Mimi, had passed, and I felt very connected to her, because when I was a child, my family used to joke that I came from a different place, and I was just like Mimi, because my whole family is very, they’re very, my mom says Steel Magnolia, like they’re very strong women, and They have strong opinions, and they assert themselves, and they speak their mind. And I was not that child. I was the agreeable one, the one that would always like go with the flow, the one that was always concerned with everyone’s feelings and animals and kindness. And my great grandmother, Mimi, was like the standout, and the they’re like, She’s exactly like Mimi, and that’s that, that’s the side of the, the family that has the Native American bloodline. And so when she passed, I always felt really connected to her, and she I saw her in the dream I was 11. So the way that I said it to my mom was, Don’t worry, Mimi’s in heaven, and she’s having blueberry pancakes with granddad, which was my mother’s dad that we had never met, and because he passed before we were born, I had no way of knowing that his favorite breakfast was blueberry pancakes. But Jillian and I both had that dream where we knew what he was having for breakfast in heaven. And that’s when they were like, okay, so we have a gift, and you can exchange messages. And Julian and I were always playing with that, with with each other as twins. Well, I remember we tried to come up with our own language at one point, and then we were like, Well, how about mind messages? And we’re always doing experiments on each other, like she’s going, I’m thinking of something. Tell me what it is. And I would freak her out, because I would tell her the I think one time it was like a pink tiger on top of a blue ball in the green room with a yellow couch and and I said it, and she was like, game over, game over, what?

Megan Blacksmith 19:19
Who’s specific? Yes, it’s real. That is so cool. So I when you, when I heard you share that, I started sending messages with my seven year old, because I travel a lot, right? So I’m going to these week long trainings. We’re hosting trainings, and I’m gone. So I was like, Oh, I love this, because I know, I know she came in with gifts like, I can definitely feel that. And the funny thing is that it’s, it’s great where she’ll, I can, I can think of something, and she can get it. But when she sends me the messages, there’s a little breakdown on on my end. So

Jenni Finley 19:57
She’s a pure container. You. Yeah, that was something that I learned early on, is you can think of your own psychic capacity like a a window or a piece of glass, and if that that window is going to allow you to see through it, there’s that’s just the nature of it. It’s clear you can see through it. However, if it’s very rainy, lots of emotion, or if it’s really dirty, like there’s all this, you know, Grum gets on it, which can be our own logical mind or our filter, then it’s harder to see through that window. And a lot of the work that you do when you’re learning, when you’re on a spiritual path, or when you’re learning a skill like Reiki or or meditation is you’re cleaning the glass. And there’s a quote that I love. I believe it’s Benjamin Franklin. He says, You better keep yourself clean and bright, because you are the window through which you see the world. And I think that really applies to intuition, because it’s it’s not so much about a conversation of who of us is gifted. Who of us has the capacity to be intuitive? It’s more some of us have a natural telescope into that world, and then other of us have to do a little bit more work to clean up our window.

Megan Blacksmith 21:15
Yeah, okay, let’s talk about that, because I know for me and I have a very gifted business partner who’s right? Yeah, all the clears and all the things. So I’m often asking, and I’m often wondering, so how, what would be your suggestion for if we’re if the belief is that we are all intuitive in some way, in different ways, like, what is something we could start to work on to really just help that process, or turn up the volume

Jenni Finley 21:44
The.. well, it’s interesting that you chose turn up the volume, because if you think about your intuition as if it’s a television that’s been left on in the background of a very noisy room, you won’t hear that until the room gets Quiet, and then you’ll notice is the TV on. So I think a lot of people have chatter in all different ways going on in their mind or their body or their environment that inhibits their ability to tune into intuition. For myself, intuition has always communicated as a whisper or a very subtle thing, and so cultivating a practice of having diffuse awareness, which I have a I have a kooky theory that women, the phrase women’s intuition, is rooted in actually the way that women’s brains work. Women’s brains are more orientated towards diffuse awareness. And we’ve had to have that skill since the beginning of time, like when hunter gatherer time, women were the ones to say that berry looks just like this berry, but this one is poisonous and that one is not. And that’s that diffuse awareness, of being able to pay attention to the tribe and the children and what’s going on in the environment versus men have that spear pointed, single focus, diffuse awareness is not going to help you. If you’re hunting a deer, you know it’s going to distract so I think that women sometimes tend to be naturally more intuitive. I think because they’re naturally more tuned into, what are the subtle things that are happening in the background versus what’s happening in the foreground? So one of the things that I encourage people to do if they are wanting to hone their intuition is to immediately start to hunt for where in my life, my environment or myself, is there unnecessary noise, and how do I calm that down for myself, I’m very sensitive to food, so one of the things that I would practice when I was going to there was a time when I when I gave intuitive readings, I don’t anymore, but when I want to be intuitive for myself, I clean my diet up to like, just juice, where I’m like, there is nothing that’s going to distract me from trying to be present and intuitive in this moment, because I’m not going to notice, oh, I have a stomach ache or, wow, my fingers, my joints feel really swollen right now, and I have a headache. That can be very distracting. So there’s an element that where you play with the 3d to support this other dimension, you know, cleaning up clutter around you. I think that objects contain an energy that like that they actually that that expression cleanliness is next to godliness. It there’s something to that phrase, if you think of it is like, if you’re in a room that’s very cluttered, all of that contains an energy and that has a noise to it. I’m clear audience. So when we walk through a James, I love to go antiquing, and I have to be the one to say that says yes or no to the antique shop. Because when I walk. Through the aisles of an antique shop. I hear, I can hear the like the voices. I can hear. It almost sounds like a radio station that’s moving through channels really fast, like sometimes I’ll hear children playing, or I’ll hear like soldiers in the war or gunfire or something like that. And one time, we went into an antique shop that had lots of memorabilia from 1930 1940 during the World War, and I’m getting chills just thinking about it. I had to immediately leave because it was it was too loud. And it’s like that. It’s like, if you have so much stuff that has emotion around it, or it has a history to it, it can actually be difficult for you to tune in. So when you’re starting to be intuitive, and you go to a meditative place of I really want to ask questions, and I want to get some guidance. Go out in nature, or put yourself in a sacred room where there’s limited clutter, so that you’re eliminating the noise, and then being able to quiet the mind, I think, is really like something that you need to go to the gym for. You know, you gotta get into some sort of practice that practices, quieting our thoughts. And there’s not a lot of things in our Western society that encourages that. In fact, when I was teaching meditation, it was actually really trendy. This is 10 years ago. I think for people to say running is my meditation, or washing dishes is my meditation. And it’s not that those things can’t be meditative, but there is something to sitting still and being quiet that allows the mind to do something that it’s not used to doing, and I noticed that my mind is a lot like a rubber band, if it I can stretch my attention capacity if I’m regularly stretching it, but if I stop, my attention snaps back to like, 10 seconds. And what’s in our environment now is very fast, moving things, where, where do you go? Where there’s not music playing these days, or when you’re watching television, which a lot of people watch TV that wasn’t think about how long television has been around. And if you think back to like the 1900s no one’s sitting in their living room watching Netflix for eight hours at a time. And one of the things that James and I learned in film school that I think is so interesting as related to intuition. In 1970 the average cut on a film was about a minute like or longer. You would have these shots that lasted for a few minutes. Now, when you watch how film is edited. It’s a cut every five seconds. And if you go to Tiktok and you or you take a course, they will tell you, make sure you have something new for the viewer every two to four seconds. So it’s a rapid fire on our brain, and we’re training our brain. I need something new. Every five seconds, I need something new. And so then when you go to meditate, what happens is people go thought, thought, I heard a voice, but there’s something else over here, and they have no capacity to hone in and focus. So I really think that’s a that’s a skill that everyone should begin cultivating, is some sort of practice in stillness, some sort of practice in silence, and if you can do both together, that’s going to be the best medicine for your intuition. For myself, I discovered that stillness made the biggest difference for me because I went to a silent retreat and everyone was joking with me, like you’re really gonna struggle with this. Jen, you you talk, talk, talk, talk, talk. You can tell right now you asked me one question. I’m I’m off to the races for 10 minutes. And I got 15 different thoughts that are all weaving together in the spider web and connecting. And I thought, yeah, that might be challenging to be silent. I was not prepared for you must also sit still for 12 hours a day, and in that stillness, I found that that is where my body was producing movement all the time, so that I didn’t have to be with what was going on in the mind. And that’s where I say like, if you’re a runner and you want to use running as your meditation, have running be meditative, but consider that if you leaned towards that as your escape or your workout, you probably need a practice of stillness the most, because you’ve got to learn to quiet yourself. And I think that that’s something that people don’t practice enough. So if I was going to like blanket statement, if you want to become more intuitive, I would say, create a practice where you are meant to hold still and be with yourself. And I think yoga is the best vehicle for that. Yoga when it’s taught, not Western yoga, because we’ve now taken yoga and gone. It’s sweaty yoga, it’s hot yoga, it’s vinyasa flow. Yoga, it’s Move, move, move, move, move. When you learn yoga asana like Ashtanga or Hatha or Kundalini or even like a studio that offers a slow flow yin yoga, there’s an element to it where you have to hold still enough in that pose to it where it to the point where it is uncomfortable and not move. And that’s the gift, because you have to be with what’s going off in your mind, in your body. Of this is painful. I want to move. I don’t want to stay here. And I think that’s the perfect way to condition intuition. So that’s a big piece that I focus on when I’m when I’m training people. And then the other element is to be able to identify how, how intuition is delivered to us in the first place, which is the five Claire’s which view you mentioned. Yes,

Megan Blacksmith 30:54
let’s talk about that. Because so you said you hear it right, and it’s on a certain side. And I had never really thought about the correlation. So in the NLP world, like, I’m primarily, like, kinesthetic is my modality of choice. And so how does that relate? So if, if you’re, if you if auditory is the way, if you’re, you’re really visual, like, does that relate to the Claire’s in a way of, like, looking for, if you’re starting to just tune into this, like, could that be helpful to Alberta Be aware of your how you are in other areas?

Jenni Finley 31:30
I think it does for I can only speak for like myself and what I’ve seen in clients. For me, I’m very, very audio. That’s my primary learning modality. I when I first started doing speaking engagements or as a guest speaker, I would, every time show up with absolutely no visual references, I would have like a whiteboard behind me, and sometimes I’d write things down, but I remember getting the repetitive coaching of Jen, please make a handout. Make a slide deck. And I was like, slide deck. Why do people need any slides? You’re just just listen. And I had no I didn’t until I learned the NLP learning modalities I had no respect for, oh, people can’t actually follow what I’m saying unless they see an image. So I think that that’s a really nice place to start is to be curious about like, Well, how do I normally take in information and how do I receive? How do I like to learn that might be your psychic gift? So for me, I auditory was the first one that I accessed, but I was really curious and fascinated with clairvoyant and the woman that I trained with, she is so clairvoyant that she can see your org filled in 3d or she can see dead people. You know, this is like the kid in the sixth sense. And I thought like, well, I don’t know if I’m going to get to that level, but I would like to be able to perceive and the way that I receive intuition is like a movie playing in my mind, like, just like if I said, think of a bright green apple, and imagine that that Apple is sitting on the corner of your desk and and look at it, but see it, not in the 3d but with your mind’s eye. That’s how I receive psychic pictures. It’s, it’s just like that, where you’re like, Oh yes, I can imagine that it’s right there. And um, so Claire, Claire, clairvoyant is there’s they’re all on a spectrum, right? So clairvoyant would be like you either literally see things that are in a different dimension, but to you, they appear real, like colors, color bars in someone’s aura, or someone who’s passed away, and you can see them. But then a varying degree of we walk that back to like the tiniest version of clairvoyant that might be that you often see. My mom sees feathers on her path all the time, like she’ll find a feather, a bird feather, and white feathers, specifically, you might see the same word over and over on a sign, or you could have just a memory play across your mind. Or, like me, I see things in my mind like it’s a movie. Like one of the most profound psychic experiences I had early on with the webmore family was James’s father is, I didn’t know it at the time, but he is a war veteran. Was love you, Bill. He’s passed, um, but I was doing a Reiki healing on him, and I suddenly it was like I was watching a film. This movie played across my mind of these two young men in fatigues running through the jungle and hearing bullets whizzing, whizzing by them, and then seeing one get shot in the knee, like right between the knee bone and kind of in the shin. And I was too freaked out to tell bill that I had seen that, because he was very, you know, military man, and I didn’t want to weird be like, Who is this weird friend? Who’s this weird girl that Jay. Sustaining. So I told James. And James was like, Dad, get in here. Tell him what you saw. Tell him what you saw. And I told him, and he goes, that was me, baby. And he the way I experienced it was I saw it, and then I felt emotion. And clairsent Ian is you can feel for others. So sometimes they go together. So there’s three in that story. I heard the I heard the jungle, and I heard the bullets, and I saw what was happening, and then I felt this overwhelming sensation of guilt come into my body. And so that’s clairaudient, clairvoyant, clairsentient, and what Bill shared that he hadn’t even told James was I was injured in the war. I was shot in the shin, but I was running beside one of my best friends, and he was fatally wounded, and I felt guilty that he was shot and killed my whole life, and that that feeling of emotion when I got I was doing the healing, and I I reached that point in his body, his body remembers that wound, and that’s phenomenal, that that, like the body, has an intelligence to it. And I was seeing that, that scar tissue, I was seeing the story around how that happened to his body. And so those, I would say, are the three most common clairsentient, clairvoyant, clairaudient. Clairaudient is going to be like, if you hear, Oh, that’s so funny. You’re this, you’re the third person to say that to me today, or you hear the same song on the radio. Or I had, I had a friend that before he arrives at a location, a very specific type of music would come on the loudspeaker, and we’d be like, Oh, he’s here. It’s so funny. It was like that energy kind of followed him around and like it was almost like he had a walkout song wherever we went. And we’d be like, oh, so and so, must be here. And then Claire, sentient people, clairsentient people that don’t know their clairsentient I find to be people who struggle with a lot of anxiety and a lot of social anxiety, and they can’t pinpoint why they’re so uncomfortable in large groups or with strangers, but a lot of times, it’s because they have this uncontrollable ability to absorb their environment, and they don’t know how to put the lid on the jar, which is something else that you can actually learn in practice. Is like pulling in your own org field, creating spiritual boundaries, saying, I’ve had to learn how to at first, when I was studying intuition, I was like, I just want to be clear audience all the time. And then, no, you don’t, because you’re walking around the street hearing other people’s thoughts, and you’re like, I would really like to not do that today. So you need to learn how to say off to your own self. But Claire, sentient looks like if you get like, goosebumps whenever someone tells me something that’s true, James will use that as like a test of like, Wait, say it to Jen. She’s gonna get goosebumps if it’s true. And I feel it in my body. You could feel emotions for others. Often people who are clairsentient are also very empathetic. They’re the type of people that when they’re watching a movie, they find themselves like it’s real, like they’re in it. And they could be crying easily, or they can. They can truly access like a beyond sympathy. You can. It’s almost like when you’re watching someone go through something, you can feel it for them, like you can feel excitement for them, or you feel pain for them. And like my grandmother was so Clair, sentient that if anyone had a wound, she would go up, she’d turn around, because she would start to, like, feel it in her own body. You know, there’s always this really dramatic reaction from her, and it was like, That’s because she starts to feel tingly all over if someone’s in physical pain. The other two, which are a little bit more obscure, Claire cognizant, which James has, and my mom has, that one is has to have a high level of trust, because you’re going to have no cool place to point to that. You know what? You know. It’s just, I don’t know how I know I know. And that you often arrives as just, I just had a thought, I or I just got a feeling, or I just had this something came to me, I do find that sometimes people who have never practiced on honing their intuition start with I think I’m Claire cognizant, and then they actually find that they’re clairvoyant or clairaudient, just like an NLP, when you’re teaching people to learn how their brain receives information, you can Teach people, okay, so you just had a random thought, are you sure? Can you check and just see, did you get a picture with that? Did you hear it? Did you feel anything in your body? And I find that often, like, more often than not, clear, Cognizant comes with one of the others, and they’re just not noticing. Oh, that’s so funny. I didn’t even notice. Yeah, a really quick image of a bird flashed, and then I and then I heard the word bird, and I’m like, okay, so that wasn’t just like a random download. You did receive two things through your brain and our mostly our brains go audio, visual, kinesthetic, one of those three. And, then there’s Claire olfactory, I think, is what we’re calling it, the sense of smell I have. I have that one, but not all the time. I can smell my grandmother’s perfume when she’s around me to give guidance. It’s a discontinued Estee Lauder perfume that they made in 70s, I think, and my mother and I can smell her perfume. Sometimes I smell night blooming Jasmine when I’m in the right place, like, that’s just been a constant of like, and I’m actually someone recently told me a story about Jasmine, and now I’m now I’m forgetting, but I think that has a connection in a past life, maybe for me, because there’s something about the smell of jasmine at night where I’m like, Oh, I’m on the right path. So that’s the ability to smell in another dimension. And you can check this out, because you’ll go like, does anyone else smell roses? And people are like, No. And then some told me that there is that they have a taste psychic since that they get a particular taste in their mouth sometimes, like so, you know, there you can occur in any of the five senses. But I think to pay attention to what, what’s your sense as you, as a human being, just walking through the world? Do you have an elevated sense, and then see if you can ask, if you can receive through that sense from another dimension.

Megan Blacksmith 41:49
Oh, so this is so interesting. I’ve never heard this part about the Claire cognizant, because I have always been like, Well, if there’s any of them, maybe I have a little of that, because I will be, you know, I was out on a walk the other day, and all of a sudden I just had this thought of, I wonder if this certain person’s payment plan is working, like the link, for some reason, one random client out of yes, all of them, I have a feeling it’s not working. I messaged my assistant, and she’s like, Oh, you’re right. It hasn’t been working for three months like, and I don’t know now that you say that, I don’t know, I don’t know if a visual popped through or I’m not quite sure what came before that, but it just felt like.

Jenni Finley 42:34
Yeah, and I think that’s just like a you you can start practicing, you know, like when I first started really wanting to be more intuitive, I would to get, well, I do two things. One would be to sit and meditate. And in total, like a place in the in the room where I know that it’s quiet or outside. I really think nature super helps. You know, it’s very it’s there’s a lot of pure energy out in nature. So I would connect to an element and get in water. Water, for me is that’s my element, and it amplifies my ability. So especially salt water. So a salt bath, or I would go stand in the ocean and ask questions and just receive. But when you when you think that you’re perceiving something to kind of hunt in the mind, like, where did that? Where’s that coming from? Is it a voice? Is it am I getting any kind of image with that? I’ve done a meditative exercise with James where he said, I think I’m sensing something right now. And I’m like, Okay, now in your What are you seeing? And he’s like, I just see black. And I’m like, Okay, go into that. Imagine that you can walk into that black space, like you can walk into a dark room and there’s like a like a television left on in the back corner, you’re going to start walking towards something that’s brighter, that’s an image, and then just tell it to become more clear in your mind. And this is like you’re using, that’s an NLP technique for clarity. As you ask the client, what do you when people say, like, Oh, I’m just not sure. A lot of times they have a visual image that’s very hazy. And Dr Bandler would say, like, Okay, well, imagine that you’re just looking at that circumstance, and now you’re like, you’re like, you could turn up the focus on a camera. You’re just going to bring that into focus and bring it a little bit closer. And you play with the the mind’s ability to have perspective with images. So you can do that with your intuition, and say, like, I’m going to tell I see this something fuzzy in the background. I’m going to tell my mind, make that more clear for me. And then James went, Oh, it’s a tiger, you know? And they’re like, Oh, good. Okay, so let’s just say that tiger has something to show you. That’s a spirit animal. I want you to ask it, do you have something to show me? And I’m just going to make up, like, a scenario, like I was guiding someone through a meditation. So they go like, yes. It says, Follow me. Okay. Now I want you to imagine that that tiger starts to move, and you’re going to walk behind it, like it’s leading you somewhere. Can you see that in your mind? Yes, okay, follow the tiger. So then you’re, you’re like, prompting one bit. At a time into kind of this psychic journey vision. I’ve seen a success doing it that way, like, where you’re I’m facilitating something for a client, so that’s a great exercise that you can do with yourself. Of like I’m going to ask, can you make that a little bit louder, or could you make that picture a little bit brighter? For me? And always probably goes without saying, but be clear what you’re communicating with. Like, if you’re going to go and sit and go into another dimension, say, like, I only want to talk to the light, or I only want to speak with my angels, or if there’s a particular guy that you love, you can send that intention out there. I think some people make the mistake of they just want to see anything, and then they open a dark door, which we don’t want to do. So be clear with your speaking with the benevolent ones, the light, the angelic beings. And then the other piece to that, I would do these little intuitive tests for myself, where I would get in my car and I just say, Okay, tell me where to go, and I would allow myself to just be navigated by my intuitive ability. I still do this, but, and it’s so funny, it’s like, the results are so much fun. The other day, I was looking for a present. It was James’s birthday, and I had this sense, like, I just got this intuitive hit, like, Okay, there’s one more gift for him. And I’m driving past these stores in Sedona, and they go in here, so I pull over, and I walk in and I found something, but it was absurdly overpriced. And I’m like, I’m not, you know, with Sedona prices, sometimes you’re like, opting out, I will make him this at home. And then I got in my car, and they’re like, Okay, well, not that one, then this one. And I’m like, okay, which store, this store? And I’m listening, and I’m hearing, like, here, here, here. And then I went in, and I’m, I’m like, hearing below. So I get down on my knees, and I find this dust covered block of Mexican Onyx. That’s that to me. I’m looking at it like, Oh, I think this could be a podium for for like a crystal. So I take it up to the front, and I was like, I just found this, and it’s not labeled, and it doesn’t have any price on it. She goes, Oh, that is so old. I’ll give it to you 50% off. How’s 60 bucks. And I took it home, and then I gave it to him, and we looked it up on Etsy, of like, we’re and then we were out shopping, and we’re in Sedona stores, where they’ve taken these blocks of onyx and turned them into lamps. They sell these things for, like, 464, to $600 you know? And I got it for 60 bucks. So I that always happens if I, if I just let my intuition guide me of of and I think that’s a really cool experiment to do with. If you’ve never used your intuition before, have some free time and then set your timer and be like for the next two hours. I’m just going to allow myself to be guided. When I lived in Australia, I enrolled all my friends in doing this, and we would have, like, a whole day that we were like, This is the day that we’re just guided by intuition, and all of us would contribute. And like, the wildest, coolest stuff happened. I remember one time we just ended up in a different town at a waterfall, going cliff jumping, and then we were looking back on the day going like, could anyone have guessed that that’s the turn our day would have taken? And we were just letting spirit guide us. So I think that’s a really beautiful practice. And then you can reflect back and recapitulate like, what was the strongest for me? How was I receiving things? What do Am I getting images? And I truly believe that all of us could tap into all of the players. And if there’s one that you’re really interested in, then ask, can I be Can I please receive the gift of clairvoyance? And probably what’s going to happen is you’re going to start seeing it on a 3d level first, like numbers on a clock, or seeing the same image or the same words repeated in 3d and then you’re going to start to go more into this other realm, like maybe you have really powerful dreams, or you have really clear images coming to you and dream, and then you start to see little flashes of things. And as long as you keep saying yes, thank you more, please, yes, thank you more, please. And not, oh my gosh, what was that? That was so weird, I’m freaking out. Then you’re in a dance and a dialog with the universe. And just like if you were talking to a human being and we started talking, you were like, Jenny, Jenny, enough, enough, enough, too much. Too weird, too weird. I would go, Oh, okay, I’m not going to say anything then. And I think that people do that with intuition. They think it’s weird, or they don’t ask, or they don’t open a dialog, or a dialog gets open and they freak out, and they don’t, they don’t play with it again for months and months, and then they expect it to just be available when they want it. And it’s like, well, it’s not, it’s like any relationship. It’s not really like that. If you want it on call, you gotta call it every day.

Megan Blacksmith 49:58
Well, so you said dreams. And that’s, so that’s clairvoyant, that’s, is that what you Oh, interesting. So I’m curious if anybody else has experienced that is, I have super vivid dreams, and they’re not usually very fun. The experience they’re they’re falling off cliffs and lots of really fun scenarios that my brain greets. So what would you say in a case like that? It’s like, Okay, I’m getting them, I’m seeing it, and it’s not necessarily the visual that I’m wanting to enjoy, because I wake up in that feeling, and when I lay back down at night, the next night, the dream from the night before it comes right back, and I have the feeling again.

Jenni Finley 50:43
Okay, okay, oh, this is a great topic. Okay. So first, if you are a dreamer and you have vivid dreams, I would really encourage you to start digging into some union dream analysis. We have all different types of dreams. So there’s prophetic dreams, or dreams that are psychic and predicting the future, trying to deliver us a message. But then we also have dreams that are our subconscious mind trying to work through something that it didn’t get to finish during the day, you know, like, if you had a really anxious day and you go to bed anxious, you might have a dream where you have to take a test and suddenly it’s a pop quiz and the T and no one told you, and now you don’t have a pencil, and you know, and that anxiety manifests in the dream. So one of the ways to start analyzing the dream is to first say, what was the primary emotion that I experienced in the dream? Start there, like, what, what did it feel like to be in the dream? And then for the archetypes or the images that were in the dream. What do those images or archetypes mean to me? Because what it means to you is what it means to your subconscious mind, not necessarily, like, what does it represent out in the world, you know? Like, sometimes people will say it’s so weird sometimes, like a celebrity comes into my dream, and in Union dream analysis, you would say, Okay, well, who does that person represent to you, you know, and they’re like, Oh, well, she represents success and hard work and creativity. Okay, interesting. So that’s an archetype for you, and that is that those qualities entering your dream. So for me, I’ve made a I have noticed that there’s a difference between my guides or my psychic intuition sending me a message, and that dream happens like it’s in 3d reality. It’s like it’s an HD is what I call it an HD psychic dream. And then my other dreams can be kind of like more fuzzy or hazy, or like I can’t remember pieces of them, and that I explore more in the realm of, like, what was the message that my body, my mind, my psyche, was trying to deliver to me? And a lot of times, if a dream is recurring, it’s something that energetically there. Basically it’s like trapped energy, like your body is the jar that’s trapped this energy or lesson in until you learn it. Like, for instance, when I first started practicing Reiki, I had this recurring dream that I had had since I can remember. I mean, like since I was five, and the dream was, I’m in my childhood home, and something is coming in to threaten it. Sometimes it’s burglars, sometimes it’s men with guns. Sometimes it’s a fire and I have to get my family out one by one by one, and I can only sneak them out the window one at a time, and I always wake up before I get out. And in the Union world of dream analysis, we started to unpack this, and there’s a theme there of being the martyr, of martyring yourself for others. I’m I’m gonna sacrifice my own safety and my own self to make sure they’re okay. And then the question goes, Well, are you doing that any place in your life? And I was like, Absolutely, I can give you 10 examples today of my mom needed this, my dad needed that, my sister needed this. And I I told myself, well, you can’t have that, because they need this. And so then I had to go about the work of going to ask them, Is that really true, or have I gathered false evidence for this? And I was in this conversation with myself, of I can’t have what I want, because other people need things that are more important, and they didn’t want me to live that way. So then I have to give up this identity of the martyr. And what am I getting out of being the martyr? Well, I get to be the self righteous one. I get to be the kind hearted, compassionate one. I get to be the one that’s, you know, the most Christ like that would do anything for anyone. And oh, how, how much ego is involved in that disguised as this altruistic personality, you know? And so that was something to confront in myself. And then I had to go about flexing the muscle of, can I say no? And we had a joke that no was the new yes for a little while, because. Yes, my sister would innocently call and say, Are you available to drive me to the airport? And I have a really important opportunity that I would like to pursue. And rather than saying, No, I can’t, I need to take this opportunity, I would silently suffer. And yes, of course I can. And then in my mind, say I couldn’t do that because Jillian needed something. She doesn’t want me to live that way. But there was a lot to unpack there for me, releasing who I thought my family was, who I who I thought I was, and that dream was showing up to say, Hey, Jen, we can’t get to what you’re up to in the world until you let go of this martyr complex. So we’re I’m going to keep giving to this to you in dream time, because you’re not noticing it when you’re awake. And I think that our dreams can do that. I was in that pattern of, I’ll just sacrifice anything for my family. And what’s wild to think about now is that version of me, that 21 year old version of me that had never explored why I kept having that dream, that version of me would never have moved away from my family to be in Sedona and live with James now and have our own brand like I wouldn’t have been able to do that. There would have been crippling guilt of I can’t leave my family. They need me, you know, and now we’re all thriving. And of course, my mom would rather that we both live in Texas. She She adores James like he’s her own child, and she would like to have breakfast with us every morning. And his mother feels the same, you know. But they’re also both complete with this is what our kids need to do in order to have to give their gift into the world, you know, and so I think that dreams sometimes are presenting you with an opportunity to show up in a way for yourself or complete something for yourself, that’s going to allow you a pathway to do something in your 3d life. So if you have a dream that recurs and recurs and recurs having someone that you can unpack that with. And what do you think this means? Like, recently, I’ve been having these dreams where I’m working in film and James, and they were like, isn’t that so interesting? Like, okay, what does film represent to you? And I’ll wake up and I go, but I know that I don’t want to be in film. Like, if someone was like, Do you want to go make a movie? I don’t think, I don’t think that’s what I like, what we’re doing. And he’s like, Okay, but what does it represent? I’m like, Okay, well, it definitely represented a time in my life that was so playful, like when I was an actor, and you get cast in the Shakespearean play the first time you go on to the stage, and it’s just pure play. And I had so many moments where I thought, I cannot believe I get to do this. I can’t believe you get paid to do this. We’re just playing with all day on like and creative and imaginative and limitless. And James is like, okay, so how can we take, maybe that’s your mind telling you you need more of that. So how can we take this sense of like, playfulness, limitlessness, creative imagination, and put that into the business right now? Where could we apply that? Are you not feeling enough of that in your role? And then that’s for me to go. Not immediately answer, not just go. I love what we’re doing. More of that to go, huh? You know what? Let me sit with that and, like, chew on it for a couple of days and then see where it takes you. I’ve definitely coached someone in a dream before where I’ve said, Oh, I think maybe it means this. And then they’ll come back. Jill, James’s sister is really good at this. She’ll come back and go. I sat with that, and I think you’re on to something with what it made sense in a Lydd realm, what you were saying it meant, but I sat with it, and for me, what it meant was this. And I went, Okay, I mean, you’re the only one who will know, because it’s your dream, and your dreams are are communicating with you, in a way, I think, to propel you towards your higher self.

Megan Blacksmith 58:58
Well, I love that you transitioned here, Jenny, because I want to map this over, like from the amazingness of using your intuition, or maybe it’s what you learn in a dream and applying that to something like leadership. Or, you know, for our all our entrepreneurs and our coaches, I know it’s a huge part of how you operate, and the whole James Wedmore company operates. So can you tell me? I can you kind of make a pitch for people who aren’t on board with how amazing this could be for the leadership and business side, like, how do

Jenni Finley 59:31
you Yes, well, I will say I think James and I both compartmentalized it for a long time. It was like, This is my intuitive side, and this is my business personality. And actually, when I first started leading at Lululemon, that was where I first started, I pulled my hand up and like, I want to be a manager. I want to be a leader. I found that everyone on my team knew me as, like the resident psychic, and it was actually becoming a problem, because then. Yeah. Instead of being able to have these conversations with people about the business, it was like, yeah, let me transition to the to the guy that I’m dating right now. I need your your what do you think is this good? I’m like, Whoa. Now we’re distracted. And they don’t think of me as like an authority. They think of me as like the soothsayer on the team or the hippie. And so, um, I remember when I when I moved, I got promoted, and I moved to a new team, and I thought, I’m not telling anyone that I’m psychic. And I didn’t for like, a year, until one of my direct reports told me, you know, I feel like I really don’t know you very well, and I would really like to get to know you. And I thought that pendulum swung the other way. I actually had a problem of being too close to people being too good of friends, that it’s like, well, Jenny’s the good cop. If you need a bad cop, you got to call someone else. And I didn’t want that to be true about my leadership. So for anyone listening, I think it’s okay if, while you’re trying to find the leak the equilibrium between these two worlds. It’s okay to have a period where they’re separated, you know. But the pitch for why you would use it is because Jake on a daily basis as an entrepreneur or as a leader. And wouldn’t it seem natural and obvious and like a good idea to involve the universe, or perhaps a divine intelligence in those in those decision making, so that you’re not just fully rooted in your own limited 3d logic or your own ego, you know, to be able to free yourself up and say, I think I want to move in this direction. Let me ask my intuition or my spirit guides or God or source. Is this the right move for me? And I think what’s so interesting about spirit is that we humans like to operate in this black and white, 3d Yes or No. Is it right or wrong? Tell me if it’s right or wrong, and spirit is more. What are you going to learn. There’s plenty of experiences in my life, a lot where I feel like, on a human level, wrong choice, wrong door. Jen, however, on a spiritual level, I can look back and say, oh my goodness, that was a lesson that I was being offered gently, and I kept pushing that plate back. And so I had to learn it the hard, painful way. And now, because I learned it, finally, I have amazing things in my life that wouldn’t have come in if I wouldn’t have learned it that way. So the cool thing about asking intuition, I think sometimes why people don’t ask intuition in business is because they want their answer to be the right answer. There’s some arrogance in that, but you’re like, No, I I really want to, I want to do a podcast, so I’m not even going to ask if that’s a good idea. You don’t have to ask a yes new question. You can say, What’s the best way for me to do this? What’s the what’s the easiest path, or what’s the most beneficial path, or what am I going to learn if I do this? If you ask, What am I going to learn if I decide to work with this person? And what comes back to you is a sensation of your body of betrayal. That might be information that you would like to have, and you it doesn’t mean that you still don’t have free will. You can still choose to do it, but you might put things in place of like, you know what? I got this sense that this person might not always be trustworthy, so I’m going to get everything in writing. We’re going to have binding contracts. I’m going to have my lawyers look this over, and then when we come to an agreement, everyone’s going to sign and I’m not going to enter it into it. We’re friends. They would never do that to me. And that way, you can leverage your intuition to also protect yourself on on the journey. Because humans are humans, and so James and I really use our intuition with our logic. We never go like, full, woo, woo, oh. I’m just gonna go and meditate for 10 hours and then come back with the quarterly plan. It’s like, let me sit down and map out my logical blueprint of what seems in from my 3d from my understanding, from my intelligence, from my instincts, where the direction we think we should go in, and then separate from that we go. Okay, that’s the plan. Now let’s just tune is what we call it, like we’re tuning to a radio station. Is there anything else? And sometimes the intuitive answer isn’t very logical, like I remember he was guest speaking at an event for Lori harder recently, and what, what he normally does is he has a slide deck that’s rehearsed and prepared, and he had that, and then the night before, he was like, Jen, I’m really getting this intuitive hit that I should just like, go in and and feel out the room and just speak for my heart, like I think I’m not gonna take my slide deck. And I was going, Oh, are you sure I come for theater? So I’m like, we are rehearsing. First baby, like, you don’t, okay, okay, yeah. Well, you’re really good at that. And he is. He’s very good at that. And he went in and delivered the funniest, most charming, engaging, I think he got a standing ovation at the end of it. Lori the other day was like, people are still talking about it. It was one of my favorite live delivered performances of James’s I’m calling it a performance because he was like, on a roll with the jokes. And I actually think that if he would have had a slide deck where he’s like, in his mind, thinking, I have to get through this content, he wouldn’t have allowed himself to be so free and funny. And the humor was pattern interrupting everyone in a way where the content landed better. So that was something that he just trusted in the moment of like, you know what? We’re not we’re not doing my plan, we’re doing something else. And I think that entrepreneurs sometimes are afraid of that, but oftentimes it can lead to the best outcome, and you just start experimenting with it. You know, experiment with small decisions if you’re going to use your intuition, like, what’s a decision? That it really doesn’t matter if you pick wrong. Use it in that area. First, you don’t have to rely on it for the biggest decision of your entire life. If you’ve never used your intuition before, sometimes you can get way in your head of like, I’m getting two answers. It’s telling me two things. It’s like, well, that’s probably because you’re overthinking.

Megan Blacksmith 1:06:21
But I like that you said pick wrong, because that’s something Alex and I joke a lot about, is like, well, sometimes we’re really into, like, finding the signs, and then we’re like, well, we could make this sign mean anything right. Like, yes, yes. Like, you know, so we have to really check in with like, are we creating this scenario to, you know, to mean, make it mean what we want it to mean. And then the other flip is that I have things in my life, and I’m sure everyone listening is, if you feel like I felt like I’ve known like, I’m like, this is happening, and then it, it didn’t. And those, yeah, those things kind of mess with me. So I was like, I don’t know. I had a knowing on this other thing. And it was clear, and it happened. And then I really, yeah, I knew this other thing was gonna happen, and it, it didn’t. I mean, I could say yet, it didn’t, yet.

Jenni Finley 1:07:14
My take on that is that so, when? So, okay, the universe and the psychic realm and the spirit realm is not in 3d reality. It’s not actually matter, right? So it’s working on this other dimension. So what are the things that we experience in our own body as another dimension, feelings and thoughts, emotion? Where can you point? Point to me and show me your emotion right now, it’s, you can’t it’s, it’s in this other dimension, but it’s very real, and your thoughts are very real. So if you think of the the universe as speaking that language, the language of thoughts, emotions, feelings, vibrations, versus us in our 3d we’re thinking, Well, the way you experience anything is through something that comes into D. So any opportunity that presents itself, there’s the 3d actuality of that thing manifesting in our world so that we can experience it. And then there’s all the emotions, thoughts, feelings, vibrations that match that thing. And in our 3d mind, we like to assign like an experience or a thing to like, that’s the thing that’s going to give me that emotion. Like, there was a time in my career at Lululemon where I was up for a role and I was convinced I’m going to get this role. This is my dream role. I had written down the vision of what I wanted my role to be, which listen to the vision, and I’m going to this is like a spoiler alert. If you know what I do on team, wed more, you’re just laugh. But the vision was, I am a performance coach that is sought out by industry leaders to diagnose, identify and deliver breakthroughs in team and performance and leadership. And I get to travel around, being paid to do this, to talk about leadership, manifestation, the power of energy and breakthroughs for teams. And I am the one that when I walk in the room, they know the breakthrough just walked in. That was my that was my vision. And this role that had come available at Lou lemon was a role that traveled all around the country, and we were paid to now cause a behavioral change in teams, because we were changing the way that we did something on the sales floor. And they were looking for four people that were going to go to all the North American teams and teach this new thing and cause this new transformation. I’m like, this is a match. This is perfect. This is exactly what I said I wanted. Here it is this opportunity. They’re interviewing hundreds of people. It’s being. Whittled down. I’m in the I’m in the last four, and I’m like, This is great. There’s four roles. There’s four people I’m in. And then I get the phone call. That’s Jen, our budget got cut, and we’re only choosing three, and we didn’t choose you because you’re the only assistant manager. We went with all the people who are store managers. So they went with this, like, hierarchical and, you know, at first, my 3d self is like, but that’s not fair. What about my other credentials? I’m the only one who’s certified in neuro linguistic programming. What do you mean? And and for me, it was like, but I knew, I thought I was going to get that. I did all my my little rituals. I wrote it all down in my journal, I meditated. I vowed to it. But in the spirit world, it’s like, maybe that thing isn’t the perfect match for that. And if you’re in that opportunity, like James says, Every yes is a no somewhere else. So if I say yes to that now, I might not be available for something better that’s coming my way. And James and I laugh now, but the how I ended up on team went more was I was very dead set, like, look, I paved my way at Lulu, and I’m finally got traction in my career. I have best friends who work here. We all help each other, and they’re pulling me up the ladder. They sent the elevator back down for me, and I’m staying for life. And then my career, where I wanted to go in my career, I kept being told, just, just wait, we’re going to have a role for you. Just wait. We’re going to have a role for you. Just not yet, not yet. And this is like 2020, when the remote roles had become very, very desirable. So all of a sudden there’s, like, a bigger pool of people auditioning for these big, coveted roles. And I think I did 1212, applications for different roles inside the company where I had, like, full or weight or contacts, you know, and not getting them, and people calling me going, just hang in your time is coming. And James is like, this is heartbreaking to watch. I cannot watch you go through trying to get these roles. Do you want to quit and just come work for me? And I think now that had the universe gone, yes, here’s that specific thing. And there are roles inside of Lululemon. That’s exactly what I described. And I could have gotten one of those roles. What if? What if the universe went, Yeah, you’re going to do that. You’re going to do that for this company. But instead, those doors were shut, and that opened a door in James’s company, which at first, did not start where I am now I came in as we’re going to lead my I’m going to lead my own program. I LA for a year, and that was all I was going to do, and coach the mastermind. And then it evolved. And now where we are is like, holy cow. This is the realization of a something that I wrote, that I wanted for 10 years, and now here it is, and it’s better than I could have imagined. And it came in a way that I couldn’t have even thought of. It was totally off my radar screen. So that’s why I say, when you set goals, you should really start from like, Who do I want to be? How do I want to feel? What do I want to experience? Because that is the dialog that the universe is in, we’re in the 3d going, and what it is is a car, and what it is is that house, and what it is is that partner, that person, this opportunity, that’s just the 3d manifestation. So when it doesn’t, when you think you’re going to get something in 3d and then you don’t go with there must be something better. And James and I say that to each other, will say it’s this or something better. And then when it doesn’t work out, there’s that natural human disappointed. And then we’ll look at each other and be like, must be something better coming. Can’t wait.

Megan Blacksmith 1:13:35
Oh gosh, I got chills when you told that story. So that said, thank you. That’s such a good reframe for the it’s not here yet, or I clearly saw that thing, and that thing has not arrived. So..

Jenni Finley 1:13:49
Yeah, and you know what? Sometimes, if you’re powerful enough, you can force it, and I’ve tried that. I remember one time when I was an actress, it was like I am manifesting this mother effing role, and it will be mine. You cannot tell me, No universe. And then I got it, and that was the one time that I felt like there was so much efforting. There was so much, I mean, ironically, it was for the crucible, and which is all about witchcraft. So when I went into like full white witch, I’m getting that, I’m getting this role with every manifestation tool I could, I could think of, and then it ended up being the most challenging thing. I mean, like it was, I can say it was not a fun, pleasant experience. And I thought at the end of that, I went, you know what? I forced it. I didn’t allow the universe to just go, No, Jen, we’re swiping left. I was like, I will make it happen. And when I’ve done that, I’ve done it a few times, it just doesn’t hit the same way as when the universe, when you let when you go, you know what? That’s okay. If I don’t get it, then I know something else. Is coming in, and it’s a it’s a bummer when you like force it, and then later, sometimes you get to see the the opportunity that you you took the bird in hand. And now there’s a better one, but you can’t, because you’re already in this other thing that you forced, you know, Oh, beautiful.

Megan Blacksmith 1:15:20
I mean, we, I think we could talk all day about this. This is so amazing and helpful. Jenny, can you, I know, I’ll just say every, everybody, anybody listening, who has not yet joined business by design, you’re going to want to wait for that opening once a year. And then if you all do the indispensable, indispensable Leadership Academy, right? Right. Academy, yeah. Person again, that was amazing. That was so amazing for our team. We got to be there together, and huge takeaways on how we were going to operate moving forward. So highly suggest that. But anything you want to share specifically where people should come find you, what you have going on?

Jenni Finley 1:15:57
Well, if you’re already in business by design, because I know a lot of your listeners probably are. There is a live event that James does once a year, and it’s coming back live. Yes, and that event, we are going to do some really cool woo, woo stuff with I know the guest speakers with me on the stage. So if you’re looking for some intuitive experiences that like, if you don’t already have a ticket, it’s almost sold out, but be at that event, because there’s going to be some, I don’t know if I’m even allowed to say what we’re doing, but there’s going to be, there’s going to be some surprises that if you were into this conversation, you would not want to miss, and then if you aren’t there, you’re going to be like, Oh, why did I go? But yes, if you’re in James’s world, then he frequently hands me the bike and puts me up on stage. Bless him. So we get into these conversations a lot, in business, by design, in next level, in the mastermind and i La, we’re still toying with if we want to do that next year, when we want to do it, but that is ILA would be the the the that’s where James said you can do whatever you want. So I got to do a total melding of the minds, of like the 3d business world and leadership concepts, with spiritual intuition, self development, all of it. And he and
